Some of our proudest moments in life are when we complete a DIY (Do It Yourself). From home projects to weight loss to DIY Life Coaching we all want to fix things ourselves. So when we struggle to be our own DIY Life Coach, the way we imagine, we compare ourselves to other people who were able to make the same improvements by themselves and then we feel worthless, frustrated, depressed and so much more. Then we try to make excuses for why our DIY Life Coaching wasn’t successful but those excuses aren’t enough to motivate us to find a professional so we eventually try it on our own once again and unfortunately continue to fail.
I consider myself to be a handy man and capable of doing a lot around the house. I’ve replaced a dishwasher on my own, installed security system with cameras, mounted TVs, finished my basement, built my own dog crate, but when I tried to install our garage door opener I couldn't do it myself and I felt worthless, frustrated, and a little sad. But I eventually chose to pay a professional and they got it done in a very short period of time and more than a year later we’ve had no problems. Definitely worth the expense.
We have to learn to accept the things that we can’t do on our own but even when we do it’s hard to get past the expense to hire a professional. The overall cost for Life Coaching can be expensive for a lot of people but if all you consider is the cost and not the savings it provides you in the future then you’re missing the big picture. For example if you include all the money you’ve lost as a result of your current problems you’ll see that short term Life Coaching can create permanent change that will stop negative cycles that have been costing you money already and would have cost you even more money in the future without fixing the problems.
I’m also a “Money Coach” so I can also provide Finance Coaching to help you identify ways to save money on your monthly expenses that could offset the cost to hire me. For example, I’ve helped several clients with Money Coaching to identify recurring expenses that they weren’t aware of by showing them how to organize their expenses. Then I helped them identify ways to replace expenses with much cheaper options. I helped one client save so much money that she used the extra money to fly to Europe. If you’re concerned about the cost to hire me to be your Life Coach then I suggest we start with my Money Coaching so you can see all the money I will help you save now and in the future.
